Baku is full of cats and for those of you that don't appreciate dogs this is definitely the right place to be since the President some time ago decided to get rid of all homeless dogs in the centre of the city. After about four months living here I can tell you that he succeeded and whenever I see a dog it feels like I've seen a monkey or something as rare as a lemure. Well, the thing is that I love cats and as a Swedish interior designer said: whenever there is a cat in a room there is no more job to be done for the designer. And the same goes for Baku.
To honor all these lovable cats I meet every day on my way to the office, the English classes or on our excursions I will during my last month in Azerbaijan give you a serie of photos of just cats (pişiks). The first one out is one of my favourites, a strong little fellow that I meet every week when waiting for the bus that goes to the Yasamal settlements. Sleeping of course.

Puss puss
